Naked man approaches jogger on Fuller Road in Ann Arbor
Ann Arbor police said a man exposed himself to a woman while she was jogging Sunday night on Fuller Road.
About 5:10 p.m., a 26-year-old Ann Arbor woman was jogging east in the 900 block of Fuller Road, when she stopped to allow a dark blue Chevrolet to pull into a parking lot, police said.
She continued jogging and saw the car pull into another parking lot in front of her, police spokeswoman Lt. Renee Bush said.
Police said a man who was completely naked got out of the car and began walking toward the woman. That's when the woman turned and started jogging west, police said. The man drove away, heading east on Fuller Road.
He was described as white, 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. He was in his late 50s or early 60s and had long, straight brown and gray hair and a long and bushy brown and gray beard.
In late August, police warned that they had taken three reports of indecent exposure near Huron High School, located on Fuller Road at Huron Parkway. It's unclear whether the recent incident could be related, police said.

Women should NEVER go jogging without at least carrying their cell phone, especially if they are going alone!!! This woman should have called the police immediately!!!

This guy is crazy. What parking lot did he turn into in front of her? VA? Huron High school? Gallup Park? I've seen some creepy types in Gallup Park, though they were clothed. There are some weird types walking around near the VA from time to time, also. More info would be helpful.

While Ann Arbor has a "sporadic tradition" of naked runners, this case is different because the perpetrator is more likely driven by sexual fantasies to commit a predatory aggressive "strategy." This guy provokes some laughable mental images but his actions pose a serious threat and create (more) atmosphere of fear on our streets. No one should think that this guy is "pathetic" because some of the worst serial killers are "pathetic" personally but deadly threats never the less. It is their own rage at being a pathetic man which drives them. The public would do itself a great favor by becoming more aware that, when walking or jogging, we are at our most vulnerable. As for getting a good description, here's a self-test we can all do: Walk in public for 30 minutes, try to focus on describing the people you see (in un-stressed circumstances). Write down your "results." Chances are: you will find yourself with a useless piece of paper as far as the police are concerned. In the above case: the witness gave a good description of the man, but (maybe) failed to notice details about the man's vehicle. It's harder than it looks.

I remember my first visit to Ann Arbor, in 1999 or so. A bunch of us were shooting a little 8 ball downtown on Main Street. We look outside, and there's a dude strolling down the block, butt naked. He wasn't causing all that much of a commotion, so I assumed it was a semi-regular thing. I haven't seen anything like that in the 1+ year since I've moved here, so I guess this town is a little less free these days.

All the eradicable comments, and madness. I wonder about some peoples children sometimes. We live in a town where very sick people come to receive help from the famed UofM Hospitals. Maybe, Just maybe, we are dealing with a sick man. We tend to forget that yes there are some very high earning people here and they forget that the reason they make so much money is because of all the sick people. So, if you can't deal with the sick people who come here, then move to another town.

Wonder if this old man is going through Menopause, or having hot flashes? As long as he was naked (no real weapons) I think pepper spray or a leaded bat would have held him for police. Another suggestion, when a woman is jogging in this area have a person in a car, following far enough back (just to keep the jogger in sight).

How is it determine if this recent incident is related, or not, to those previous reported at Huron High School? Is the description the same? Is this a lack releasing information by police, or a lack of competency? I would think, though I'm not a police officer, that the description could at least tell if the appearance of the person is the same. It's near a high school where there are quite a few young women practicing sports during this time of the day. But, if the police can't determine if the description is similar, or is finding some reason to withhold this information, I really have to begin to question their competency. At this rate potential sex crimes will continually to go unsolved.
