A man stopped his car to confront two teenage pedestrians with a handgun after exchanging words with them Friday afternoon in Pittsfield Township, police said.

The teens, a 17-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy who both live in Pittsfield Township, were walking on Central Boulevard near Torrey Avenue just before 3 p.m. Friday when the man passed them in his car, police said in a news release.

They apparently "had words with the suspect," which prompted him to turn around and confront them with a black handgun. He left the area without further incident, police said.

The man was driving an older model, silver, boxy car with no hood and a loud engine.

The suspect is described as a 19- to 25-year-old Asian male wearing prescription glasses and a purple and black long-sleeved shirt.
