This story has been updated with comments from Lincoln schools superintendent Ellen Bonter.
Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a weekend break-in at Brick Elementary School in Augusta Township that was reported on Monday.
According to police, a window at the school, 8970 Whittaker Road, was forced open sometime over the weekend and went undiscovered until Monday. The exact time and date of the incident is not available, police said.
Lincoln schools superintendent Ellen Bonter said there was no damage to the building and two electronic items may have been stolen. The school is continuing to go over inventory lists to see if anything else is missing, Bonter said.
She said it appeared one person entered through a window and exited through a second window. It's unclear if the entrance window was unlatched, Bonter said.
The building was undergoing upgrades to the alarm system and no alarm went off during the incident, Bonter said. However, the building is again secure and the alarm is armed, she said.
No arrests have been made, and police still are looking for suspects. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office anonymous tip line at 734-974-7711.
